Mentoring a local High School student is truly a gift back to the student and the community. To have the trust of a student and listen to what they have to say and where they want to be is the true catalyst for discussion, guidance, direction and much more. As a neutral you get the opportunity to have input back to the student that they may have never thought of. This then prompts more discussion that inevitably assists in providing direction and therefore progress on the topic being discussed. As time goes by you can see and hear the difference a real time progression and the students can make note of their own progress. Mentoring is as rewarding for the Mentor as it can be for the Mentee. Mentoring gives all concerned the opportunity to assist the High School generation to better outcomes, encouragement, forward thinking, direction and much more. Central Coast Mentoring Network Inc. has great pleasure in supporting this local initiative.
